Mint infusions are a part of our cultural heritage. Mentha Spicata, Hierbabuena, or Yerbabuena in some parts of Latin America, is the very same Mentha Viridis that Dioscorides of Anazarbus wrote about in 1st century AD Rome. Or the “Poleo” from the”terracitas” of the cafes, the same that Charlemagne ordered to be grown in his royal gardens.
So we couldn’t take off on this adventure without a mint tea. We informed our Tea Blender of this and she made us… a total of 16 different ones!
It was a tough choice, but we decided on number 12. Why? It’s different, and put simply, it’s perfect. Over a base of Gunpowder Tea, one of the highest quality green teas, the blend –with no added aromas– has a spectacular scent, it’s delectable cold or hot, and very refreshing.
